Description & Defining
Complex Application Process
A significant portion of users accessed the website via mobile devices, but the original design wasn’t mobile-friendly.
Mobile Optimisation
The previous design had a high drop-off rate due to unclear steps and lack of guidance.
Brand Representation
The website needed to reflect Wetility’s innovative and customer-centric ethos.
The approach
User research
Conducted interviews and analysed user behavior data to identify pain points in the application journey.Â
Competitor benchmarking
Reviewed industry standards to understand best practices in solar rental applications.
Wireframing
Designed low-fidelity prototypes to visualise the new flow, incorporating user feedback iteratively.
Visual design
Focused on a clean, professional aesthetic that aligned with Wetility’s brand identity.
Mobile-first design
Prioritised a responsive design for seamless mobile experiences.
A user interface is like a joke. If you have to explain it, it’s not that good. Martin LeBlanc
Custom icons were essential in creating a consistent and intuitive user experience for Wetility’s platform. Designed to align with the brand’s modern aesthetic, these icons made key product features easily recognisable and improved navigation.
This new primary and secondary navigation allowed clear pathways for users to learn, explore, and apply for solar rentals. while the responsive design ensures usability across devices.
The design balances aesthetic appeal with functional clarity, combining a sleek visual of the product (solar panels and battery pack) with compact, digestible information. This modular approach also ensures scalability for future products or promotions.
The solution
Needs-based configuration interface
With part of the client brief being the introduction of new product ranges, that can cater for commercial and apartment blocks, we made it possible for users to select different configurations, such as Small, Medium, or Large packages within each user type, depending on the size or requirements of the space.
